I need a little help, I hope this hasn't already been posted...
I started to install this a while back, then ended up upgrading my vB to 3.0.1... so now when I try to run the install, I get this error message--- Quote:
LOL I've read the install.php, and I see the queries, but I don't know exactly what to do with them, or how to tell which ones I need? |

You already have the neccessary tables created, as well as the phrases, settinggroup/settings and templates when you first installed it on vb3.
Does it not work in vb3.0.1 after your upgrade that instigated you to try to run an install for it again ? edit : woo just realised this got HOTM for May. Congrats Magnus |

Everything seems to work (except that I haven't put it on all the styles yet, I don't want everyone to see it til I'm sure it's right)... only thing I KNOW is wrong at this point is that it doesn't show up in the admincp-- vB options, so I can't check who can upload how many pictures, that kind of thing...
I don't want to adjust all of the picture names, either, til I'm sure... |

It's highly likely due to your upgrade resulting in replacing/overwriting the old php files.
This hack required a few file edits, ( ADMINCP/USERGROUP.PHP, INCLUDES/INIT.PHP ) so you may have to readd those file edit changes before it works again Everything else *should* work fine. Hope that helped. |

I started over from scratch after the upgrade, and added all the file edits... you sure it doesn't sound like it left some tables intact, and won't skip past the "done" ones to one/some that got changed by the upgrade or something?

There were file changes in the vb3->vb3.0.1 upgrade in init.php but i doubt it will affect this hack.
I installed this hack on 3.0.1 direct without any problem. Do you have access to phpMyAdmin or something to view your current database ? If so, check to see if the following tables are there : vbgarage_users vbgarage_comments vbgarage_images If they are there, your tables are fine. Then go to the Settinggroup table, check to see if u have a 'vbgarage' entry. Go to your settings table. check to see if u have the following entries : vbgenable vbgcomments vbgmaxupload vbgmaxfilesize Hint: sort by varname in desc order, so these should be listed first. If these are all there, there shouldn't be a problem of you as admin not having the option to give access to vbgarage to specific usergroups in your admincp. |

LOL Ok, I downloaded phpmyadmin, now I'm thoroughly lost! Guess I have some reading to do, before I know what tables I have...

I don't see anything in the settinggroup about vbgarage, though? |

maggie, then create a new row for it
In your phpMyAdmin page, click on the SQL tab. Input this in the box : Code:
INSERT INTO settinggroup (grouptitle, displayorder, volatile) VALUES ('vbgarage', '650', 1); If properly queried, you should now have a settinggroup 'vbgarage'. |

Ah... now I have it in the admincp-- vboptions , but I don't have anything to set...
vbgenable vbgcomments vbgmaxupload vbgmaxfilesize still aren't in my settings... |
