[August / September 2009] BOTM Nomination Thread

This is the nomination thread for Board of the Month of August / September 2009.

Let me reiterate the rules for this thread:

• Only post nominations or seconds, no chatter.
• All seconds are to be placed in 1 post, with a max of 3.
• All seconds should include the word "second" or "+1".
• All posts must be in English.

Please abide by these rules or your post will be removed.

Nominations will be accepted until the 31st of July 2009.

When nominating please post the site name, URL to the forum, a short description what makes your board stand out from default vBulletin, and a reason for nomination that will motivate others to second the nomination. If the staff feels that a nomination post is too promotional it will be edited accordingly.

Any sites without a name, URL, description and reason for nomination will NOT be entered into the poll. Please ensure that your nomination is in the format:

Reason for Nomination: I retired from being a webmaster more than 2 years ago, and didn't envisage returning.. I was quite enjoying my time away from the hassle of designing, coding and running a community. A couple of months ago, I was suddenly inspired to start working on something again - and Gaming Voice is the result.

The design is purposefully minimalistic and clean, for easy navigation. However, a lot of time and love has gone into it's conception - and it contains a good mix of available modifications from vbulletin.org, and custom code by myself. With a website on the way, I have a very good feeling about things..

Description: The tattoo forum is approx 3 years old and is for anyone interested in tattoo's piercings or body modifications.

Reason for nomination: large userbase who are very active providing help and support for new users who may be having problems with their tattoo's or piercings and unsure where else to turn.

Free tattoo directory for anyone to add their details not just for shops but any tattoo related resource.

Custom coded rate my ink style plugin. under each picture in the album section is a star rating from 1 to 10. Also a picture rating page a la hot or not which allows people to rate hundreds of pictures very quickly and easily. This will soon be extended to be used for monthly competitions.

Many hours of work has been put into the different skins to ensure there is a skin which everyone will like. choice of 4 please check them out. Candy is my favourite

Now added blogs for any confirmed artists and mods and hoping to roll that out to everyone so that anyone wanting to share their experience of either getting tattood or tattooists wanting to show off their work can do it in blog format.
