This is the nomination thread for Board of the Month of June / July 2009.

Nominations will be accepted until the 31st of July 2009.

When nominating please post the site name, URL to the forum, a short description what makes your board stand out from default vBulletin, and a reason for nomination that will motivate others to second the nomination. If the staff feels that a nomination post is too promotional it will be edited accordingly.

Any sites without a name, URL, description and reason for nomination will NOT be entered into the poll. Please ensure that your nomination is in the format:

Description: Cooluniverse is a forum dedicated to the Miserable Men radio show which is on Sirius satellite radio every Sunday on Howard 101, 7 PM EST. We are a comedy based forum which is currently locked in warfare thank's to Jaxel's brilliant Conquest game. Most of the users are comedians i.e. Al Rosenberg and Mark Byrnes, who appear on the show. We've just added one of VB.org's coders to our admin staff, Tipoboy, who has graciosuly given his time helping us design a new skin.

Reason for nomination: Albeit, we may not be the prettiest site, we do have a plethora of mods that are geared to entertain our users. We are currently open to new registrants, so no login info is needed. Come by and say Hi!

Reason for Nomination: Please take a moment to look at my site. I have spent a considerable amount of time giving vBulletin a unique, one of a kind, custom look in layout and colors. We have a large community of motorcycle riders in the Las Vegas area, and giving them a unique community to congregate and communicate on has allowed the site to grow and expand which has been beneficial to the area.

Description: An online community of Toyota Tacoma X-Runner enthusiasts

Reason for Nomination: XRU, as it's passionately known as by our members, was launched with the intention of breaking the "auto forum" mold. We promote a non-bashing, non-flaming community for X-Runner enthusiasts (and others) to not only discuss and learn about the trucks, but also to meet other members. The website was also guaranteed to be 100% free, for all features, for all members - always.

We host two national events annually: X-Fest and X-Fest West. X-Fest will be holding it's third annual event this year and we anticipate a turnout of around 50 trucks.

All of the graphics have been designed from scratch with the exception of a couple remaining buttons and smilies. Each month the header completely changes as the XRU Staff nominates a new member to be the "Top Ride of the Month." I have also integrated custom modules on the vBa homepage as well as custom code that allows users to turn on and off certain parts of the website using PHP code and options in their user profiles.

Actual usage of the site in probably easily in the millions of users, but they don't require forum registration to download addons, so the forum stats don't reflect that.

Reason for Nonination: Wow (no pun intended) the artwork is fantasic, the interface is fantastic, the search and organization of World of Warcraft mods in amazing, the forum is well laid out and friendly. I can't think of a reason not to nominate this site. It's amazing.
