HASANN when i installed all is good but the guest can edit Message i have looked for the Options i didn't give the guests the promotions how he can edit after i active from admincp ?
i really can't understand is working good in version 3.8.0 ?
i can't stop to guest to edit or delete the posts ... is because i use localhost ? i can only control if i change the Place of Guestbook to put in link in Community Links also link in Quick Links but in navbar all can control user and guests !
also if i didn't mark in guestbook Permissions the guest can see and edit the other posts from the users
look my screenshot
also if i mark for guest to see the message why they can edit and delete
I have the same problem at my vbulletin board 3.8.3 with the installed guestbook 2.2. Allowed Usergroups to Edit Messages In the Guestbook, and Allowed Usergroups to Delete Messages In the Guestbook is set to Administrator only but everyone can edit and delete posts. There must be a problem with the permissions, is there a fix to solve this problem available?
1. If I don't set Any Usergroup (besides the Selected by Default Admin) for Edit and for Delete Messages, the Edit and Edit Buttons appear for Guests and it Allows them to Edit and Delete the Guestbook Posts.
(I had to set Super Moderators also to have Permissions to Edit and to Delete so that Guests don't have Access to those Functionalities, there should be some Error on the Code that in the Case of No Selected Usergroup then Allow Everybody to be able to Perform those Actions; I don't want Super Moderators to Perform those Actions, Only Admins).
inciarco has posted some other useful hints for this guestbook...
Good mod. But on the Navbar where it says guestbook how can I change the colour from black to transparent see here http://www.chattaboxforums.com to see what I mean
