This mod allows you to import them as messages as well!
It can be convenient for RSS with the important information which doesn't required to be discussed.

----------------------------------- REMARKS -----------------------------------

If the thread ID does not set, than the name of RSS feed will be the used as title of the topic.
If the topic still does not exist in the specified forum, it will be created with first item of RSS.

Ive read this entire thread and I did not see mention of something:

Is this hack enabled to pull multiple different RSS feeds into different areas
of your forum?
IOW, I hypothetically have one RSS news feed ported into a news forum subsection, and
a second RSS feed from a photography site ported into an Art forum area and a
third RSS feed from a weather site ported into a regional weather forum area, etc, etc ,etc.
[All on the same board]

This hack can do that?

Super-six, I would have thought all you need do is create separate RSS feeds to each forum via the RSS Feed Manager to achieve this?

I currently feed various feeds to various forums, this hack would hopefully add the feed as posts to to given thread in given forum

however I have yet to test the RSS items as posts but do use the built in RSS Feed Manager to deliver to the various forums on topic

hope this helps and whether zcarot can add to this

Very excited to get going with this one!

Does anyone know if it is possible (using this plug in) to have multiple RSS feeds streaming into ONE thread?

Yes, just set both feeds to use the same thread ID. Make sure they're both set to "new item as post" and not "new item as thread".

I don't understand the install instructions... the current version is 0.5.3- do I only make the file edits under "Install" or none at all- it looks like I don''t need to make any file edits but if so why include them in the readme file at all?

ThreadID would be the number from the thread url.

For example this thread url is:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=201742
The thread id is: 201742
