As of 24 Nov 2017 this modification has been withdrawn.

If a member has not visited the forum for a defined number of days (180 by default) then they will be moved from their existing usergroup to another usergroup (this can be any existing usergroup, however, you should really create a new 'Inactive users' group - esp if you use the auto-restore option).

Only members of a defined list of usergroups are checked for inactivity.

If a member of the inactive usergroup returns to the forum, and auto-restore is enabled, they are automatically restored to another defined usergroup (by default this is usergroup 2, Registered Users).

Note: The move of inactive users is done once per day as part of the daily update cron job.

Hi, the product sounds geat, thank you!
Few questions:
1) I installed the product but can't find a record in the for the cron in the "Scheduled Task Manager".
2) No description is provided to the XML file on how to edit the variables.

1. This doesnt add a cron, it uses an exiting vb one
2. You dont edit anything in the XML file .....

Nice mod Paul. Like some others I would really like to move members to the inactive group if they haven't posted in f.i. 180 days, and then be automatically restored not when they enter the forum again, but when they post again. Is this possible?

I'm still using the 3.7 version on a 3.8 vb and works fine.

To upgrade can I use the overwrite feature and keep mod settings or should I remove the old one first?

One question, if auto restore is off how can those users become active again? manually?

My question is because it would be great if they would be active again only after x posts.
