Overview
This extension allows you to fully integrate a AddonChat Free, Professional, Professional PLUS or Enterprise Java? Chat Room with your vBulletin 3.7 forum system. This script provides basic integration for AddonChat Free and Professional customers. Remote authentication (the ability to secure access to your chat room using your vBulletin username/passwords) is available for Pro+/Enterprise customers, as well as a Who's Chatting feature.
Requirements
vBulletin 3.7 or higher
AddonChat Free, Professional PLUS, or Enterprise, or AddonChat Professional with the Remote (HTTP) Authentication System. You may register for a AddonChat account at www.addonchat.com. A Professional PLUS or Enterprise account is recommended to take advantage of advanced features.
(optional, but recommended) PHP with allow_url_fopen directive enabled in your php.ini file or the PHP CURL extension. This is required to download the Who's Chatting list from AddonChat servers.
What's new?
This script is a completely revamped edition of our previous integration script. Installation no longer requires any template or code modifications. Additionally, there are no PHP files to edit when setting up your chat room. We have added an "AddonChat" menu item in the vBulletin AdminCP that allows you to setup and configure your chat room with ease. Most users will simply need to enter their account number and password (as used at addonchat.com) and your chat room settings will be retrieved automatically, with your remote authentication system updated automatically as well. We have also improved character code support through better UTF-8 conversion allowing non-English speakers to use a vBulletin+AddonChat without issue. Issues relating to the Who's Chatting system causing problems have also been addresses; a scheduled task has been added to automatically optimize and repair AddonChat related tables daily in addition to improvements to the re-written Who's Chatting system.

Hello again. Mainly when investing in the Enterprise product, I would expect the help link on the chat panel to take the user to the appropriate FAQ section on the forum itself and not to the product's website.

Agreed. I'm adding that to the development to-do list: creating a separate vBulletin FAQ specifically for the chat room. Very good suggestion
Installed Enterprise-25 on my little forum. Painless installation and permission handling.
Installed, Voted, Nominated.
One issue though: navbar is far behind on showing the correct number of users in the chat. It adds new users alright but doesn't deduct kicks, log offs, etc. until quite a few seconds later, even after refreshing page.
Usually this only happens during initial testing when you're logging in/out repeatedly while adjusting settings and ensuring everything works. When used with remote authentication, the user count is automatically incremented; under normal circumstances this provides a fairly accurate update to the amount of user's chatting until the next scheduled task is run or any user clicks the Who's Chatting link; at which time a complete list of users in the chat room is updated. If you think it will be an issue after initial setup/testing, please let me know the circumstances so we can work out a resolution in the next update.

How about fixing the profile link and user's posts links (in the name drop down) when using Authentication? They give an error page. All of the drop down options do.
My Question is: how to manually add the navigation link in a customized style/template?
Sounds like you're using a custom template that is, for some reason ignoring our navbit -- if your templates are out of date, you should update them. Otherwise, we'd likely have to add it ourselves. Simply submit a support ticket including your account number by eMailing support@addonchat.com -- send our technicians your AdminCP login info and we'll see what we can do

Sorry I haven't replied to this one yet -- they all should work, they were tested thoroughly with the release-candidate. The only caveat being that cookies must be enabled on the end-user's browser as there is no way to pass the PHP session information through the chat room at the present time. Aside from that, the functions merely require that the URL set in your AddonChat settings match your board URL; all of which should have been set automatically during setup.
If you don't think that is the problem, please submit a support ticket and we'll gladly look into it
