I think if you continue to see the growth that you are, that that celeron processor wont really last you too long. Celerons were never really meant for servers.

Just keep it in mind as you might be running into problems down the road and you'll need to upgrade again.

Yeah but for the price, if it gets him sorted for now. It's better than nothing and might serve his needs for the next 12 months!


Although I'm a little curious as to why you didn't take up the other guys offer about his dedicated server and share the cost with just two of you on it. That would have worked out at $58 (which is about ?30). The same as your willing to pay now, and his dedicated server might have had much better specs.

If the figures TylerR gave are accurate you're going to need more than 512M RAM - you will be swapping to disk in no time, and crawl as a result.

yep when time comes i will upgrade to 1 gig
this just goin to get us by for a few months well hopefully,i was only using well not even 400ram at any one time, the server specs will be fine for now and got time to upgrade,
