As requested several times, this hack allows you to arrange forums on forumhome in xx columns instead of just one per row as it is in standart vb3. It is a plain port of my 3.0 version you can find here.

Look at the screenshot to know what i mean

The design is changeable in the templates of course


I've tested it, and it should work, but as i don't use it myself, i cannot do a longtime test, so if you find any bugs, report them

Right now, it's just working on forumhome.
I'll add changes for forumdisplay later

Wanted the change to happen on Forumdisplay as well and followed this post for that.

If you'd like for the latest threads from the various subforums to appear in the main forum, then you can use the instructions from this thread to help with that.

I am using Veccy's code in the template and now I am wondering how I can centre the columns? I am using 3 columns and I'd like to centre them in the middle.

Anyone have any ideas?

Can anyone make a port for this? Lynnes code looks like it will make all the forums do this, whereas I only want 1 catergory!

Reece, you're looking for a 4.x version?

If not, then you can 'activate' this option per forum within a particular category. I have it set up that way on USHistoryForums.com

Anyone figure out how to display 3rd tier sub-forums within the sub-forum columns?

EX:

Category Name
My Forum Column 1 | My Forum Column 2
- My Sub-Forum 1 | - My Sub-Forum 2
