Following is a non-exhaustive list:
Simple install
Ajax based with:
Fast and Intelligent chats retrieval through javascript calls to server files (refresh delay configurable per usergroup)
Edit/update by double-clicking on a chat
Interact on chats through menus and javascript
Many usergroup permissions to limit features according to usergroups
Full configuration of the chatbox display:
Size, position on forum pages, editor layout (either top/bottom input or left/right textarea) and position, number of chats displayed, ...

G'day i am ahving a huge problem with the chatbox.
Basically I type somehting into the input field, hit enter and nothing happens.
I uninstalled, reinstalled. It worked for an hour and stopped again.
Permissions are all set correctly.
Running latest version.
Help??

Just an addition to this. The prompt message is appearing in french.
I have uploaded the language thing, and I have also searched the phrases looking for the words but cant find it..
my members so and am i having big issue having msg reaching to shoutbox... when entering first msg it seems fine but after sending first msg i sent another one 3-5 seconds after and it fails to deliver
Our users complain that they can't set a color for their entire session, they need to set it each time they type a line. Is this something you can fix? Till then they want me to switch back to Cyb Chatbox, which is fine but not as featurerich!
They can do that through their usercp !

Because /del is not correct, there are parameters, check the help in the chatbox

If I go with the curser to the black marked place (at screenshot number: 1), there is no link.

This happens only at the latest shout. At all other shouts it is working well.
I would be grateful for the IP command. As we allow our guests to post on the chat box, we often have spam on the shout box, and would love to be able to retrieve the IP address and ban them.
I have seen stangger5 was going to look into your problem so I think this shall be ok no ?
I was hoping that the problem with the module was the same as the one causing my perpetual "Loading.." on vBa portal (page variable method). I was also considering using the module if I could not get the page variable method working, but I am not keen on the width restriction. Of course, I could not get the module to work either and I received this initial response from stangger5:

VBDev is still working out some bugs,,,should be close..
I deleted everything from scratch (losing all previous messages) and reinstalled again as a last resort - to no avail. Wit's end has come and gone. I am totally frustrated. My donation offer stands. Otherwise, I am off to install a less feature-laden but more stable mod.
