Goldbrick Media system for vBulletin 3.6.x
Thanks to all who nominated or voted this for MOTM.
Some of you might be looking for Anymedia. Well this has replaced it. It's a total rewrite from the ground up. A huge thanks goes to Sir Adrian for creating the framework. He can't cook soup but he sure can code.
Why the name goldbrck?
From Wikipedia:
Quote:
Goldbricking, in today's terms, generally refers to staff who use their work internet access for personal reasons while maintaining the appearance of working.
From Urban Dictionary:
Quote:
Goldbricking: To loaf or goof around on the job. Supposedly an old union term describing laborers (or more specifically, bricklayers) who were going so slow, it was as if each brick were made of solid gold. One can alse be referred to as a "goldbricker".
Dude, I spent all day at work goldbricking - surfing the web, making long distance phone calls - basically just picking my ass.
Goldbrick uses the following third party Products:

When including a video file directly; I got a blank page on this line. Not sure if it's an issue on my server or not; but the problem appears to be in trying to open a 30mb .mpg file to see if there is a <title> tag in there.
Ok I figured out how to rebuild them, it still did not work.
It is inserting video tags instead of media (which is what I thought it was suppose to insert). I tried manualy both ways and it does not show either way.

Thought I fixed that in 3.0.5. Its fixed in 3.1 for sure. If its has the // in front of it, it should run. You can just delete that line for now if you want. I could let you try 3.1 but there is a bug that breaks the quick edit. The prototype js is breaking vb's js.

You don't insert the tags. Past the link and press the M button.
In the new version you'll have the option to just past the link and hit reply or hit the M button like before.
So I assume you mean paste the link, then highlight the link, then press the M button in which I get this upon posting:
