Description:
Most guests browse the forums without becoming registered. And why should they, everything?s lying and waiting just right before their fingertips - written informations and the most important: hyperlinks.
This plugin hides any link from guests until they became registered !
If guests are browsing the forums, all they?ll see is a link like this
with an alternate text "Please register first or login"
Installation:
Install the XML-file as Plugin.
Credits:
Andreas (KirbyDE) for porting the previous alpha code-modification over into a Plugin.
Notes:
In one of my meanwhile heavily hacked forums I wasn?t able to bring this Plugin to life. It seems that something messed up with the usergroup-settings.
On a fresh install I can?t report any bugs or errors.
Versions:
Tested in 3.5.0 and 3.5.1
Update:
November 02, 05 - File format corrected (Version 1.0.1)

Hi all, I applied this plugin and it all seems to have installed ok but when I go to the site as a guest browser I can still see and click on web links in posts.
Any ideas what may be wrong? We are on 3.5.0 with the 3.5.1 patch applied.
Cheers
Same here, without the 3.5.1 patch... Does the Hook Location matter? It automatically installed in the bbcode_create. Any help would be great, seems like a fantastic plugin to have! Thanks
Any guests on that forum would not be able to view links in the thread but say you happen to have a link to your own domain (www.mydomain.com)'s section. Since, guests can't see the LINKS at all, they wouldn't be able to see links LOCAL TO YOUR domain either hence they might leave instead of following that link and browse your site more. I hope that made sense. :ermm:

I see... I get what you mean now. Thanks for the explaination.
For my case, I am not so worried about links since we don't really have much on my site. My main concerns were on the images linked using the [IMG] tag. I am trying to restrict this as there were many cases where guest just come in and "steal" our members picture.
Due to the fact that I can?t give support for this Plugin anymore I would encourage those who installed it, to de-install it - even cause it doesn?t seem to work correct in 3.5.1 and if it does a proper install doesn?t handle all links (like www.example.org, capitals, emails, etc.)
Please remember first to de-install this plugin before installing the other one.
