just wanted to chime in that 1) im following this thread closely and 2) phpwebsite cvs supposedly has the feature of using php code in blocks done.
Next version should have this set. I want to add that phpwebsite needs to work on their template system, because rightnow editing those .css files sucks bigtime. |

I prefer vBPortal because it was mainly written for vBulletin. It also looks faster to me and right now I don't experience any problems. There's no doubt Wajones made pretty good job.

Both products (vbPortal and phpWebSite) do basically the same thing... they give your site a front end! vBPortal was designed to provide all the features through the vbulletin template system, phpwebsite on the other hand will allow for theme changes and independance of vbulletin but will share the same user base allowing you to have a different look for vbulletin and another for phpwebsite. Both products will allow for plugins/addons. The choice you make is based on your needs and how you want to design your site.

Shoe >>>> It is going a little slower based on the fact that the developement team is rewriting the core code from ground up. I was going to wait so this wouldn't have to be done twice. The new core is going to be sweet and fast...
