Steve, you cannot have a credit card when you are under 18 - To have one is a fraudulent act, and you can go to prison for doing so...
You are allowed a debit card, which is a similar thing, except instead of paying on a credit basis, the money must be in your account for you to spend it, unless your account allows you overdrafts, which at aged 18, they enable for you - So unless you applied for one saying you are 18, or use your parent's card, you personally cannot have a Credit card...
@filburt - I have no job, no proof of income, yet because I am 18 I can apply for a Credit card today or tomorrow or next week or next month I choose not to, as I know that I will probably end up in serious debt, and that's why I like my Debit card, even though it is a hassle having to deposit money when I want to buy things - It controls how much I spend, and unless I really want to spend something without my mum knowing, I use her details and give her the money in cash or cheque form, which requires less effort
When i got my Pay Pal account i just entered my Visa Electron Debit card info. But then they take money out of your account, and you have to wait for your next statement (or wait about 4 days and print one from a cash machine) too see it has been taken out, THEN go back onto the website and enter in the code that showed up to let me use it.
So much hassle but i guess in the long run it is a good idea because it checks that people arent using false cards etc.
All in all pay pal rules!!! It must do, Why? Because thats how i brought my vB license HORRAH!!!
They took money out? For me I believe they put money into my account. Although it was only a few cents they never took anything out. I will have to check my statements again.
Well with me they took out a couple of dollars. Yet it was all paid back as soon as i verified the card was mine with the code that was on my bank statement.
Hmm well I did it only a few months back and they just gave me two transactions giving me a few pennys and I had to enter the two amounts. They also never took it back either which was awesome even though it only totalled to 45 cents or so.
Show me the cash you received then. Oh yeah, you can only spend it through PAYPALsucks.com. For those of us not running an amateur board and collecting thousands per month, we prefer our money in our bank accounts, not at the mercy of PAYPALsucks.com
