Here is a small modification you can use to have a default avatar, in the postbit, for your members that don't have a avatar.

It is a simple installation, upload the file in the UPLOAD folder, then import the product XML, product-ozzy_default_member_avata

You can edit the options under the settings, Default Member Avatar Settings

Complete Feature List

Option to disable the mod completely.
Option to select which usergroups to show the default avatar on.
Option to set the path and image name to the avatar you want to use.

What does 'Marking As Installed' do ?

* It helps you to stay on top of updates - members who have installed modifications will be notified whenever new updates are available.

* For security issues - vbulletin.org will contact all members who have installed a modification whenever a security issue is brought to their attention.

* Marking a modification as installed also helps me know how many people are using my work, giving me extra incentive to provide more features and new modifications.

Downloaded + marked, will try it out tonight thanks. Makes forums look a lot nicer when newbies all have a cohesive avatar.

Yeah for the moment is is only in the postbit, but I will be adding more locations in a future version, and thanks for marking as installed.

just curious if you found a fix for the avatar not showing issue?

As far as I know, it should be working, perhaps uninstall the mod, and reinstall and see if it shows then. Remember though, it will still only show in the postbit ATM.
