I agree. What he has it way better than a lot of others have and probably isn't even being used to %50 capacity yet as there isn't a lot of software out there that can take advantage of multiple cores yet.

Mike, what are you using for a Backup-UPS for your system now?

It's a CyberPower 1200AVR, the older model w/o the fancy blue LCD screen.
AVR: http://www.cyberpowersystems.com/pro...eries-ups.html LCD: http://www.cyberpowersystems.com/pro...t-lcd-ups.html All are UPS and have AVR *Automatic Voltage Regulation which was a must at our old home, 1 1800's style home with 12-13 foot ceilings and very old wiring so I went with a AVR to keep the power from ruining my then good system. Thing still runs fine and I've had it for over four years I believe at least three years I know and I highly recommend a UPS w/ AVR if your not sure about the wiring in your home i.e. a older home or if you have electronics that seem to go poof in the night on occasion :erm:. |

I've got a CyberPower 1500AVR (with the fancy blue LCD screen) and I just ordered an APC BR1500G. The CyberPower doesn't switch over as fast as the APCs do, so I mainly use it for lights if the power goes out. I have an older APC XS 1500 for my computer but the batteries finally went out and now all of the lights on the front panel are blinking constantly. I've had it for more than 4 years so I really can't complain. I got a great deal on the BR1500G. I couldn't pass it up.

My APC BR1500G just arrived! It won it on ebay on Thursday. It was supposedly ready for shipping on Friday. Since they don't ship on weekends, for whatever reason, I didn't expect it before the end of the week or longer. She is a beaut! 865 Watts of backup power. AND with AVR.
