AWCoding- Mentor Version 1.0.0
Release Date: 16th September 2010 Software Provided and coded by AWCoding
What Software Is:
It auto assigns a mentor unless they entered a correct referrer at registration then that person becomes there mentor. The software has an on and off feature for PMing the mentor about his new mentee as well as auto adding the two (mentor and mentee) as friends. You can select what usergroups are able to mentor and from these groups it selects a random person per new user registered to mentor. The software is used more or less as a help and go to person for new users to go to for help and questions. Makes things more personable and a point of contact for users. This will reduce heavy traffic to the owner/admins and spread help through the other groups (moderators and supermods). You can even create your own Mentor group and select from that group. You can also edit the mentor of a user by editing the user in adminCP. There is an option to show the mentee in userCP who there mentor is and a link to their profile.

He has all the right to release this mod here on vbulletin.org.
you really need to read the posts on awjunkies forum
1) what was the agreement of this mod you purchased for creation ?
paying for someone to create a mod does not stop them releasing it after all its
the source code is not protected, if you requested this developer to create it, where is the agreement shown on a post ?
ok yeah its a 3 year old post from another website but if you wanted a paid mod developed just for you then you should of requested it in vbulletin.org on Paid mods requests section
I had bought mods off of him in the past. I had contacted him through his website and we discussed it through AIM. I am sure I no longer have the conversations, but it was not supposed to be released to anyone else because there were many competitors at the time looking for a similar mod. I no longer own that website anymore. But it still makes me mad that it was released anyways.

Well, he can make that anything he wants too. lol. Those rights are for people using his code. This code was made "for me." I requested and had him implement EVERY single one of those features, all the way down to the being the mentor if you were the one who referred someone.
Of course I have also tried to contact him since I saw this. I messaged him and I left him a PM on his forum. I have still yet to hear back. :[
I am just now noticing because I was out of the vb scene for a while. I came back on here to check in on a mod or two for someone I am helping out and I just so happen to see this.
I made it very clear that it was not to be released. I had many competitors at the time. Trust me, that was something that I made sure of. If I PAY him big money to create a custom code for ME, it is no longer his code. When I buy that code, it is now mine. Why would I commission a PUBLIC code for everyone? If that were the case I would have posted here and saw who wanted to go in on the mod with me. But I wanted it to be private, period.
