Members who are chatting in Flashchat 5 or 6
Developer Last Online: Nov 2023
This modification is no longer available or supported. Note: I no longer use Flashchat, and development and support of it at Tufat appears to have died in 2010. This is a simple display of who is currently chatting in FlashChat - on the forum homepage display. Note: This is compatible with Flashchat 5.0.x only, it will not work with Flashchat 4. * Flashchat 5 is no longer available - this should work with Flashchat 6, but this is not a supported option * The main features are ; 1. It displays the list on Forum Home with the "Users online" display. 2. The list view is collapsable, so you see just the number. 3. Users who should display as coloured or bold etc are displayed correctly (based on the display usergroup) 4. If you 'hover' over a username it will show the room they are chatting in and their status (away etc). 5. If the chat is empty, a simple "no one is chatting" message is displayed. 6. The option to record and display the Most Ever chatters can be enabled. 7. The ability to turn it on/off is in the ACP Options. 8. The ability to allow only certain usergroups to view the list is an ACP option (include or exclude groups). 9. The location of the Flashchat folder is an ACP option (Options are located in vBulletin Options > Who Is Using Flashchat). Unzip the XML and import into vB using the ACP Product Manager. Further Notes: This hack cannot display any bots in the chat, due to the strange way that Flashchat stores this information. I have no connection with the Flashchat product - if you have questions about Flashchat functionality then their forums are located here. Template Hook Please note that this modification uses the following template hook in the FORUMHOME template ; forumhome_wgo_pos2 This must be present in any customised template/style you are using, otherwise this modification will not display. No, that is not possible with this - it is for vb integrated installations only.

I tried to include the "chat/info.php"-file in a template but didn't get any results. Weird. Better ask at tufat.com for a solution. |

I'm using this mod with Flashchat 6 and VB 3.84.
Showing garbage after the "Members currently using Flashchat:" bit. Currently showing "Members currently using Flashchat: %1$s 7" The 7 bit is right, but not sure why it's showing "%1$s" before. Any help would be appreciated. |

Either you have a very old custom phrase in your system, or and old template, Im guessing phrase.

Among others I have these Phrases:
wic_members_24 Standard Phrase The most chatters online over 24 hours was {1}, {2} at {3}. wic_members_day Standard Phrase The most chatters online in one day was {1}, {2}. wic_no_chatters Standard Phrase No one is currently using the chat. wic_using_flashchat Standard Phrase Members currently using Flashchat: {1} I have tried deleting the {1} at the end but the home page still shows as: "Members currently using Flashchat: %1$s 1" Any other ideas? |

Also.. Just tried removing the "$chattersdesc" line from the Display_Chatters template, butthat removes the whole "Members currently using Flashchat: %1$s" line and only leaves the actual number.
So the problem appears to be with the $chattersdesc variable. Is there supposed to be anything showing after the "Flashchat:" end of the line? |

Sorry, but without acp access to your site, there isnt really much else I can do.

OK, but maybe someone could answer whether there SHOULD be anything showing between the "......Flashchat:" and No of chatters?
I've checked all the code that refers to $chattersdesc, but there appears no reason for it adding extra "%1$s". |
