Just watched Cocaine Cowboys. It was a documentary about the drug wars in Miami in the late 70's and early 80's.
It was the real story told by the main players in the game. I enjoyed it.

Two movies I watched recently, both Gangster films:

- City of God (Cidade de Deus)
- Shottas

Both are great and not for the kiddies. Out of the two I liked City of God the most.

Note: The versions I saw were subtitled. I could understand most of Shottas (which is in "English") without them, but there are many parts in the film where you'll need them. As the film goes on you'll catch on to some of the dialect used...but at some points you'll be asking yourself "Was that English!?".

City of God is probably one of the best films I've seen....but I'm a sucker for things based on a true story.

Eastern promises is a pretty good movie If you can deal with the shower scene

Has anyone else seen Children of Men yet? I thought it was really good...very moving. Quite violent, though.

Yeah, very strange film and a great play on the future. I enjoyed it a lot.

Yeah I enjoyed that one. I liked the scene at the end when they are leaving the building. The one where the soldiers and rebels both see what she is carrying they just stop fighting and escort her out of the building.

Just finished watching both The Order of the Phoenix and At World's End (Pirates of the Carribean) on Blue Ray. Enjoyed both. Must say, I'm groovin on my Blue Ray player. Looks great on the 43" plazma and sounds great on surround sound!

Yeah, Wayne, that part was great...made me cry. I'm a very passionate, emotional person, what can I say.

I just saw Monster last night. It was a very interesting film and I couldn't believe the lead was Charlize Theron, I thought she did a very good job, however, at some points in the film, I was not impressed by the screen play.
