Staff do not have such an obigation, nor should they. This is a site run by volunteers.

I wouldn't pay you $10 for such a mod. Too many people get fixated on reducing queries for no good reason. The number of queries is rarely a problem (unless it runs in to very high numbers), it is the nature of them that matters. One poor select (full table scan) can cripple a server, while 100 simple selects using indexes will barely make it flicker.
