Oh guys please this is not a judging thread for each forum and nobody is a judge here. I never claimed to be an "ovestuffed forum specialist" (LOL) to ask me whether your forum is or is not overstuffed. I mentioned what IMHO is an overstuffed forum in the first post. Asking "is my forum overstuffed or not?" really do not offer much to the conversation. We are not here to judge and condemn anyone's work in his site.
Also, in the end, if you and your members like your forums then you have no reason to worry about our rambling  Cheers

I end up with a lot of stuff on my site that I don't need because I need to test it on a live site and my members are willing to play along. It goes away during the next upgrade if we don't really use it. It's weird, but it works for us.

I try to keep my site as simple as possible, the group events, pictures, videos, and people are the things that attract new members. I can never understand the concept behind "arcade" on a forum. But I guess that is just me
 A little confession: I recently added a bunch of XP navigational icons to my forum. It's looking a bit "stuffed" now :ermm:

I'm a little plugin crazy, I must admit.
I made sure, though, that what I have chosen to install on my forums will be used by my members, and at least half of them to make it worthwhile. If I see lack of use, I get rid of it.

I've got a board I'm modding for launch, and right now I think its on the cusp. We have a pretty extensive hacks list, but each one chosen serves its purpose, with the list being the result of an extensive process of elimination and some degree of discussion among the staff. I imagine my navbar(s) (thinking of doing a double navbar) will be a bit crowded, though I'll try and keep it as organized as possible. I think that since many are less apparent hacks (like say Advanced BBCode Permission or Privacy Report in a New thread) it won't be as big of an issue. And of the clearly visable ones, the function is, 9/10 pretty essential to obtaining the desired effect of the board, with the other 1/10 times being a "worthwhile but not essential" add-on.
