Turn a forum into an article forum. Sub-forums are turned into categories.
  • Posts/Articles show in searches & in new posts
  • Create as many sub-forums/ categories as you need
  • Follows forum permissions
  • Can still rate thread, etc.
  • Different postbits for article and replies (comments)
  • Choose what to display in postbit for article and comments
  • Choose what to display on articles in vBulletin Options
* Not compatible with 3.7.x forums *

Installation:
  1. Upload articles.php
  2. Import product file
  3. Create a forum in admincp
  4. Go to vBulletin Options->Article forum Options
Remember to click Mark as Installed to receive updates and support
Possible Future Additions:
  • Make article collapsible
  • Allow multiple article forums

This really is one of the best mods out there. Any way to make it work on multible catagories? It's perfect for our news section, but I think it would be fantastic for our red light district too.

Nice mod!

Is there anyway to change the site Title from 'Articles' to something else...

Can't seem to find how to fo this...

Oh yes.... big improvements. Thank you.

For the future,.. can the primary page snippets strip out bbcode as well as urls for links, etc?

It would really clean up the look of the snippets of the articles on the main articles.php page.

When you view articles in IE the author details area comes across whole page on top of the article..



Also any chance for vbseo rules?

This add-on is great and we all appreciate the work you've put into this.

I ditto this, I'd like to change it to "guides". If this was incorporated with changing the content of the <title> tags too, that'd be a great feature.

It's too simple to change that phrase

You need to Search for phrase articles in your Admin CP Search in Phrases and search for articles.

Fixed ie6 issue - will be included in next release.

It should work without any vbseo rules? But a quick google search revealed this post:
