This is a cut down version based on a backup system written by Trigunflame for vb 3.0. It is a simple vBulletin cron trigged php system that does a dump of your database - either as one complete file, or as one file per table. Especially useful now that IB removed the old ACP backup option in vBulletin 4. Files can be (G)Zipped to save space.

All the options are located in the ACP in vBulletin Options >> vBulletin Automatic Backup

To install, download and unzip the files, and follow the instructions in the text file.

change Stunde to 20... unless your server time is offset, then you'll need to adjust for that.

You can just ignore it. Its only the logging of the cron run after backup completion.

I would guess your mysql timeout is quite small and its timing out before the log command can be run (are you using the gzip option ?).

Ok, thank you.

Yes, I do use that, because the database is about 1.5 Gb. (350Mb with gzip)

Thats why then - the Gzip is taking longer than your mysql timeout.

I cannot really answer server specific questions as few servers are exactly the same.

Server specific..!?

I know you obviously don't know what my folders are named, but i'm asking if anything looks wrong to you as far as folder structure & if it looks writable (see image)

I'm just trying to get it to work, like everyone else.
Thanks
