Let's step back into reality, death is something that will happen to us all, however our greatest fear, no matter how much you deny it, so to comfort yourself, you reply to this thread in a cunning and heroic way, because it sounds like a good way to end your life, but also because it eases the black thought of death itself.

I can see the 2 scenario's posted on the first page contain more detail on the "event" leading up to death, then just simply say "then i die", or in Revans case, he doesn't even mention himself in death, just "bleeding". This is ofcourse human nature, blind yourself from the horror and fill it with excitement, so no critism towards Revan or hellsatan what soever, after all, you're both human.

A dawning thought, unfortunatly the truth.

A fair point for the most part, but theres a difference to just saying I would rather die in a glorified way and that its just a fantasy made up to make me look cooler

Not many people know this, but I could have died trying to save someone else's life...

I was in a club, about 3 and a bit years ago (in france), and me and a couple of people from my school were just at the bar, watching the girls dancing - My schoolmates weren't my best of friends, as I hated a few of them, but since we were drinking I could stand their company - A few of them started to get lippy to a couple of english-speaking french people, and then a fight broke out - One of them drew a knife - Instead of cowering away I tackled the bloke, but unfortunately when we landed, he had his hand and the knife pointed towards my lower chest / upper stomach, and he stabbed me - Luckily there was no organ damage, but I was literally about half an inch from it being a serious stab wound, and probably an inch and a half from it being potentially fatal :ermm:

If thats any indication of the lengths I would go to save the life of someone I don't even really like, imagine what I would do for someone I love

I dont really think it matters which way you die...... Either way the heart quits pumping, you quit breathing and whoever is left over pays the bills..

This thread is just an example of our own instincts to control everything that happens to us including our own deaths.

Good thing we cannot as our lives would be pretty boring if we always got our way.

No I would prefer to die. Its hard to value something much if there isnt a possibility of losing it.

We can control about 95% of the ways we can die - Even being struck by lightning

Don't piss the big guy off and he won't strike you down
