Allow BB code in sticky thread titles · **Released**: 09-07-2004

Sticky threads have a tendency to be overlooked by the users. So I came up with the idea of allowing BB tags and smilies to be used in the sticky thread titles to make them more noticeable. I made this hack for VB2 about a year or 2 ago, but I neglected to publish it. Another reason why this hack is limited to sticky thread titles is because there are less sticky threads in a forum than there are regular threads, and if this were to be expanded to include regular threads it would be nothing but a can of worms. And also due to the fact that it can only be used in sticky threads, it allows only admins and moderators to use this feature.

This hack is such a simple hack that I am actually embarassed to call it a hack since it actually takes 2 lines of code to do it.

I added those fixes.. and it got rid of the bbcode on showthread. :/

Did I add it wrong or something? Hehe.

This hack does not like quotes in thread titles.... it displays them as

I just tried editing the functions_forumlist.php and it still doesn't show up for the index.
