Well it wont be released untill it is completed, what i can tell you is all sections completed up to date have 0 bugs known and is going at a stedy pace, ill release the free version on here when thats done, that will have details to get the full version More news on it when its near completion *new section complete....goes to edit features file* |

No users cant have more than one character, to be honest it never actually crossed my mind to include such a feature. But! they way i have structured it it could be implemented pretty easily, since i have "inferno_users" as the table, where all rpg char info is saved, multiple chars tho would mean when you scan member, ud get about several scans coming up XD
But...i may just think about it if it seems like a good idea Ya it looks good, but the battle ground which i made for ipb was the best part it has member vs member and member vs ai bot, im also hopnig in this (since im making from scratch) to include 2 vs 2 and maybe tournament mode Its gonna be packed with features, im just putting the main ones on inferno txt thingy to keep a record Theres still a lot more to come lottery...rpg store (interactive items)...rpg jobs...adventure/quest mode...and a few new sections that were never created when i made it for invision board So yeah, it will be a while before its out (school n such get in the way) but i promise it will be garenteed the wait (i hope ^^) Untill then, keep checking on that features file for completion % Last 1% will be longest, i hate writing auto install scripts and instructions on file edits XD But so far only about 4 files need editing and a couple of templates, im trying to keep most the content inside the itemshop.php itself Theres quite a few tables added and a lot of templates, but such thing cant be helped with such a "big" mod enough babbling for now i think... ^_^; |

I seriously cant wait for this hack. It'd be cool if they could have multiple chars though because when one gets to strong for other people to beat it's nice to be able to start again with an advantage!
The avatar thing confuses me, i mean, they should just have a list sprites to choose from depending on their gender. That would make a little more sence. Alot of my users dont have their own sprites, custom ones should be buyable ^_^ The battling sounds awesome ;__; i'd love to be able to battle against a bot when no one else is around and tournements, 2 on 2's they just sound leet. I can so not wait for this /me bookmarks feature file Ooh is it possible to add a promotion thing to so they change job/class when they reach a certain level ^_^ (with like a check box, would you like to advance thingie) |

I have a few feature suggestions for you. How about a sepperate RPG registration, kinda like the coppa registration, so members can set all rpg settings from registration. They will in turn be placed in a setable RPG user group different than regular registered members. To expand further on that idea, Also how about different postbits for rpg player and regular member, this way people who are not interested in using the rpg features don't have all that rpg info in their postbit.
Also how about some sort of clan system set up, maybe using the new user group features of vb3. |

Because i am transfering it over fromrpg inferno created by me for Invision Board, which did have a clan section, and lottery, and rpg store and a load of other stuff Sorry for no updates, i had a js frenzy week and needed a break from php (any of you that know "proboards" will know they dont support php and most codes are javascript driven) But now i will start on battle ground, and bots yus, they were a big hit in inferno v3 (v4 is latest edition), you could set defaults for bots, enable them to level up (so the more that battles them gets more experience) also set limits on how many bots a person can battle every 24 hours, and a reset button: the bot will revert back to all default settings applied, and dont worry, you can edit the bots default settings XD Damn it sounds like a lot, but Ai Bots is only 1 of many features within the system, also, the reason im not using sprites.... Battle consist of magic attacks and normal attacks, these "moves" are made inside the admin cp, which all have there own set "animated sprite" When battling, you press a attack link (normal attacks, magic attacks or rage) and an animated sprite will appear on top of the background (background been battle field, choosed when creating a battle) - so yeah, thats why Useless Information: Once this is complete, rpg inferno will have been made for Proboards (JS Driven) Invision Board (php/mySQL Driven) vBulletin (php/ySQL Driven) woo... right! *starts on battle section* Ill need to start with battle moves ... Bai for now |

Woah, looks liek a vb3 rpg hack is going...I didn't check in on this threadb ecause I thought there was nothing to see! I will be waiting in anticipation for this new RPG hack when it is released! Keep it up Zero Tolerance!
Oh BTW, will you be able to include this as a HTL file as well? |

I still thing though that people should be able to have sprites if they want. Bot sprites arnt that hard, it's just if i allowed my users to have another avatar they'd all look retarded.
Maybe you could work on an option for wether we want to use sprites or not. |
