Pfffftttt.... who still uses that (3.8.x) lol. Just joking. I hope the coder considers a 3.8 version.

vB3 support will come if there is enough demand, and only after the 4.x version is stable.

Hopefully there are a few more of us "old timers" using 3.8x that need this LOL  |

Hello,
This sounds perfect for my requirements, just a few questions please. I use a custom sytle and not default style, will it work with a custom style? Can guests still browse without logging in based on the preset conditions I have put in for non registered and unlogged in users?? I want to allow a 7 day limited access (no cost) to give people a chance to see certain sections of the website without having to pay, can I still do this. Lastly I am planning on replacing the index.php file with a custom front log in page that has links to various membership options, I assume I can then link them to this subscription page Sorry if some of the questions seem a bit stupid I am a complete technical idiot thanks in advance for the help |

Yes, it will work with a custom style. If your paid subscription templates were altered, apply the changes to the equivalent template in the LancerForHire - Paid Registration Templates >> template group.
If you have a modification in place that provides trial functionality already, yes, you can still do it. Trial functionality is not included in this modification, though. The closest thing you can do out of the box is create a 7-day non-recurring subscription that costs 99 cents. Yes, you can create a custom landing page with the different membership options and link to the ordering page. You will need someone experienced to do this, though. You are no idiot; the only idiots are the ones that do not read the FAQs & Notes, and then ask a question that has already been answered. You're welcome. |

Hello Lancerforhire
Thanks for quick response and get feedback. My paid subscription templates may have been altered to include extra payment options (we have a direct deposit option and Paygate which is a South-Africa payment system) I will have to speak to the guy who programmed it to see what needs to be done as my technical skills are not great. We have already created a full custom landing page with links which just need to be linked up and I have someone who can help me with that. The biggest problem seems to be the 7 day trail issue, is there any way to run some sort of promotion or somehting via VB to allow people that 7 days restricted viewing membership for free?? What is the story with guests and people not logged in, can they see things as per there pre-set permissions? thanks once again for the advice and help much appreciated, this mod seems like it could be perfect for me. |

You will need to open a request in the unpaid modifications section for that; it is beyond the scope of this product.

Sorry stupid question, you mean for the 7 day trial issue or as it effects guests and people not logged in??

The 7-day trial issue. As for the other question, this modification does not directly affect anything outside of the registration script so it should not interfere with permissions.
