Building a new PC from scratch...

Ok here's a few pics, I do not have one of the spliced cables and had to insert the case form the back of my desk then move back so not case cover popping anytime soon .

- Intel Core i7 960 Processor - 3.20GHz, 8MB L3 Cache, 4.8GT/s QPI, HyperThreading, Quad Core, Bloomfield, LGA 1366.
- Cooler Master Hyper N520 CPU Cooler.
- EVGA X58 FTW3 (Intel X58 w/ 6G) 3-way SLI LGA1366 Motherboard.
- Hitachi 2TB Serial ATA Hard Drive - 2TB, 7200 RPM, 64MB, SATA-6G.
- Corsair Vengeance 24GB DDR3 RAM - PC12800, 1600MHz, 6x4096MB, Non-ECC, Unbuffered.
- Two (x2 = 1,500 Watts) Ultra LSP750 750-Watt Power Supply - ATX, SATA-Ready, SLI-Ready, 135mm Fan.
- Two (x2 = Just plain awesome!) EVGA GeForce GTX 550 Ti Superclocked Video Card - 1GB, GDDR5.
- Lite-On Internal DVD Writer - DVD+R 24X, DVD-R 24X, DVD+RW 8X, DVD-RW 6X, DVD+R DL 8X, SATA.
- Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64BIT Operating System Software.
- Cooler Master HAF 932 Full Tower Black Case.

It was a Cooler Master HAF 932 Full tower case, on sale for $119. I know they just released the new 942 recently, more than likely I purchased mine as it was priced to sell for the new case to come in...

Nice, a lot better than my current system. I'm hoping to do a new build soon, if I can ever save up the cash. I currently have:

Don't forget it's tax season so unless you've spent your return you could redo it although what you have seems pretty good to me, I could have built something like that for much less and really all you need is a better card when your ready and more memory if you like so you could just "upgrade" and come out on top for much less .

Mike, you should have come to me for the memory. I could have saved you a bit. I have 6 GB OCZ 1600 sitting here getting dusty.

Ahh but I wanted 24GB all matching, I'm a stickler on some things even if I'm not "In the know" on memory per say and yes for all you ladies out there my wife calls it "Being stubborn" .

See now, there's that memory and all you need now is a newer card w/ at least 1GB and your set for a little while .
