This product will add the javascript tracking code for your very own Piwik installation. In short Piwik is an open source alternative to Google Analytics where the collected data is yours, and yours alone. If you want to learn more about Piwik, you can visit their project homepage at http://piwik.org.
As widely suggested, the code is added right before the closing body tag of the forum, cms and blog. I didn't check if the code was on the cms pages, but on the forum and the blog it just works fine.
Tested on:
vBulletin 4.0.0 PL1
Uses Piwik tracking code from:
Piwik 0.5.4
(I don't think there have been much changes in the tracking code, before )
Installation:
Install the product xml file.
Go to the settings group "JJs Piwik tracking code integration" and set it up.
Remember to activate the integration.
Important: It will not activate, if the website id wasn't specified and isn't greater than 0!
Changelog:
1.0.0 - Initial release
No need to say to mark it installed, if you use it
You need a fully functional piwik installation to have a use of this mod.
Hi guys,
please can someone tell me what is the meaning for "fully functionality"?
What are the packages we have to install??
This plugin ok, and then?
Hi guys,
please is there some one that can tell me if with Piwik is possible to track also code like this:
<!-- Begin CigClick Network Code -->
<script language="javascript"><!--//
var server_client_id = 1189;
var server_ad_channel = 1;
var server_publisher_channels = "";
var server_media_types = "text,hybrid";
var server_integrate_media_types = 0;
var server_ad_width = 728;
var server_ad_height = 90;
var server_ad_style = "728x90_as";
var server_code_version = "4";
var server_ad_color_border = "7E8AA2";
var server_ad_color_background = "F7FAE0";
var server_ad_color_headline = "7E8AA2";
var server_ad_color_body = "000000";
var server_ad_color_url = "666EBA";
var server_ad_random = 1;
//--></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://adsby.cigclick.com/ads/display_ads.php">
</script>
<!-- End CigClick Network Code -->
This definitely does work, and it works really well. I have Piwik installed on a subdomain (stats.thetechgenius.net) and it tracks my main forum domain (thetechgenius.net). It has been working really well without any issues at all.
trying this on vb 4.2.3 and after more than a day no data is received by piwik. piwik is installed in its own sub domain, and am using it on many websites, the only one that is not receiving data from is from the forums site, I am using your plugin on the forums site.
