Alright I finally got it working, a friend gave me the database code. The product is useless. But now when I apply to affiliate nothing appears, meaning there are no affiliates. I had friends apply too...nothing...and I checked the affiliates option in the admin CP, nothing to validate either...whats wrong?

Well I can't really tell you, because you've used installation code that I don't know. Did you try adding affiliates via the admin CP to test if it's working?

i ran your script, and then exported teh ones, then made up the permissions 1.. tis the exact same thing you have ^^

Well is there an error coming up when the member applies? Did you check the table to see if there is any content? It works for everyone else, so I need more information to fix the problem.

There's no error. It's just when someone applies, an affiliate is supposed to appear. Nothing appears. Besides the normal page. I asked kirbyde if he could make this into a usuable hack but he still hasn't replied. :ermm:

It is useable, yours is the only one not working and keeping me from upgrading to BETA 2.

Im back.. Few problems im having:

Whenever I try to reset anything, it doesnt work.
Allow Parsing of Image Code? I cant set to yes.
And I dont recieve an Email when a new affiliate applies.

Apart from that everything seems fine.

Things this hack needs:

Better organized.

The email dispatch does not work fix it please.

The buttons are not so good like the report button.

A user should not be able to rate an affiliate more than once just to gain 100 votes for him or herself to get to the top. The affiliate hack should record the user account so the person can only vote for an affiliate once.

I should be able to edit the disclaimer in the Admin CP but I can't.

The code button to affiliate should be available when people apply to affiliate.

I think that's it for now, but there you go.

It's just things are all over the place. It's a good hack...but too many things on the affiliate page..

Well you could disable the modules you don't want or need. All of your other suggestions will be looked into for BETA 2.

Looks like the permission query didn't run..try uninstalling and then reinstalling. Import xml files before you upload the product though

I've set up affiliates as per instructions, assigned usergroups, etc. - anything I could think of (after reading, and rereading this thread). I've also built the bitfields and rebuilt them. I can't think of why this isn't working for me.
Also, I may add note (in case this helps to find the issue to my problem) under General Affiliate Settings, these fields will NOT update:

Email for reports to be sent to:If yes for broken urls/links reporting, enter the email you wish to receive broken urls/links.

- will not accept an email address.

Affiliate of the Moment Addon Block Active? If not, the affiliate of the moment addon block will not be activated.

Will not retain a "Yes" choice.

Allow Parsing of Image Code? If not, images will not be parsed for affiliates' descriptions.

Will not retain a "Yes" choice.

I've fixed numerous other issue by reading through this thread, but am at a loss now.

Did you make sure to upload all the files (especially the xml files) before importing the product?

Also, all the settings should be working...but getting the hack to work is the biggest problem. So it should be fixed first

Is Beta 2 nearing a release date?
I'd like to give it a try, but will wait for the next version.

I'm the middle of a big upgrade from vb 3.0.9 to vb 3.5 for one of the sites I admin. This is my top priority now, so the next version won't be released untill I am finished with that.

As I stated in post #148, yes. All files were uploaded before importing the product.
I may just wait until the final 3.5 comes out. Not sure where to go from here but wait.

When all known bugs are fixed and the hack is stable for some time.

BETA 2 to will be release in about 4-6 days..

It will fix the mail problem, some other bugs, and add a few minor features.

Can somebody please help me with the following, I've asked questions before and never gotten an answer to them.. without me sounding rude can somebody please help me out.

Ok so I installed the hack and it messed up my board big time, I put my back up back (the one I made before I installed the hack) and undid the changes I made, however the hack still shows up in my Admincp and it won't let me remove the plugin (which is very annoying now it's just disabled).

but now it's causing me more problems in the way that I can't make changes to my usergroups.. this is a VERY serious problem for me and I would apriciate it if someone took the time to help me fix this.

Delete everything in the Uninstall Code.

Uninstall the product.
Try reinstalling again then
