Many hacks allow you to specify a points system by entering the table and column for the points data. Use TABLE: user COLUMN: credits when integrating vBCredits with such hacks (note: you may need to include your table prefix with some hacks)! If you are unsure about integration - ask me!
Why is this version not the gold version yet?
vBCredits 1.4rc1 went through a long bugtesting process at the official site, and rc2 is largely bug free in its entirety. However, *it is missing most of the admin help and post/thread deletion actions are temporarily removed while I figure out how to fix them.

Hang on, does it only work if the post count is off for the forum? Because I have the credits turned off for places where they don't count, and I've unchecked the 'default' checkbox in all of those forums leaving the amount at zero. It was the only way I could see to turn it off in the forums.
We just released our vBCredits$ addon, at our site for anyone interested I'm just trying to get screenshots ready for it .. as for gold, dark prob look at that once he's had some sleep .. 7am for him 5am for me :P

Yes, if post count is off is the quick method, the thorough method is the way you just found out
Im not sure if this has been asked yet, but Im curious as to how the progress is with integration with the arcade hacks? Mainly IBPro Arcade? >_0
Its progressing. Will probably be next up now that the paypal support addon is done. Check out my site for any as-yet-to-be-released progress. (we have v3 arcade though, which will also get an integration addon)
