Miscellaneous Hacks - Yet Another Awards System

A lot of you have been waiting for this forever to work 100% with 3.7 due to the new profile tabs...Well wait no longer, here is the new revises version of HacNho's YAAS (Yet Another Awards System).

DESCRIPTION:
This is a Medals/Awards system. Admin can give members awards, and award icons will be displayed in member's profile, posts, as well as in a award list.

FEATURES:
In AdminCP
- Can Create/Edit/Delete/Reorder categories/sub-categories in ACP (with category name and description)
- Can Create/Edit/Delete awards in ACP (with Award Name, Description, Icon URL, Image URL)
- Can Move one (or all) award(s) from one category to another
- Can set some awards un-classified (not displayed for public)
- Can re-order awards in awards showcase
+ Issue awards to members, based on username or userid, with Issue Reason
+ Remove awards from members

In ModCP
+ Issue awards to members, based on username or userid, with Issue Reason
+ Remove awards from members

Front page
- Display awards list in with: Award Name, Description, Icon, Image, and Members who get each award.
- Display awards showcase in profile, with Award information, Issue time and reason
- Display award icons in postbit (showthread, showpost, announcement, private)

CHANGES/MODIFICATION:
- Tables to add: 3 (award, award_user, award_cat)
- Files to add: 4 (/awards.php, /award_request.php, /admincp/award.php, /admincp/award_cat.php)


DIFFICULTY:
Easy
Time: about 5 minutes
Installer is included (1 product XML)

From what I've been told, the member.php edit actually isn't needed, so I have addressed that in the next release.

You know, I never even noticed that the ability is not their. I'll try to add the ability for that in the next release.

yes sir i did that, but i am still getting the following error:

Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in [path]/member.php(504) : eval()'d code on line 106

the whole scenario is running beautifully, it is just this error that is spoiling the fun. my users are very happy and so am i. can you please advice how to rid of this?

By searching this thread for the error message. Several people (including me) have posted a solution to your problem.

one more thing please. i am about to upgrade to 3.7.4. i have no experience of doing so. would everything be erased if i upgrade? do i need to re-do all the add ons?

Ok I've installed all the files both to the root and the import product file. I have no award template or award manager.. Do I need to do sometime of update to make it effective? I got nothing so far.. Does take time to kick in?

hello guys i have one small problem that i dont know how to handle

please see the image below:



i have installed so many mods and when they appear in the users' posts, the user profile actually becomes so wider and bigger.

i was wondering that the awards showcase should be shifted towards the left side. i mean not under the user name or stuff, but between user name and user details on the right hand side. in short i want this to be displayed in the middle of the user profile bar ......

i dont know which things to edit for displaying like that. could someone tell me where to add what code? cause i am totally not a coder and have no idea how to write codes

I have a little issue: the links in the postbit don't go to the tab 'myawards'.
I see the link to follow in the status bar (when I put the mouse over the links) and it don't have the "&tab=myawards" , even the software is up today (ver 4.0.1), and i have double checked awards_bit, awards_postbit_display and member.php to be really sure that it should work with the changes applied.
The link just follow to the profile, not to My Awards tab.

I have SEO installed, could be the SEO?
(My forum is traslated in spanish)

Somebody have this issue yet?

Look at the image you posted, do you notice the text of any section being wider then the others? Because I do, and I would fathom to guess thats the mod causing it. You can edit that section to fix it... But if you just want to center the other sections you will need to give them a width in the HTML.
