What's your language charset?

If i change the charset, the characters become '' , ?????????????? / ??????????'' e.t.c. and the search on glossary works fine!

I can't edit a term, it says this term already exists.

I would also like to change the default setting "search in title" to "search in title and text".

Very often guests come to my site via a search engine that has found the term in my glossary. But the guest enters the term and does not notice the options he has on the right. He gets an error message, saying the term has not been found and away he is again, without registering or giving more attention to the site.

I already changed the phrase saying that there is the possibility to search in text. It does not help, people just don't read enough.

How can I change the default setting?

Thanks and best regards
Steigeisen

Jepp, here too. I think there is a fix here in this thread somewhere, I just didn't dare to change the code yet.

Just copy the term, then delete it and enter it new by paste and edit it before saving it.
Little workaround...

Or edit it directly in the ACP.

I recall that the problem exists in the ACP also, I entered all of my glossary terms in the ACP and I was not able to edit them there either. But hey, it's not that a big problem, it would just be "nice to have" if the edit would work.

Anyone any idea on my question as to change the default setting of the "search in" options?

I had the same problem and... I change the EDIT link from some templates and now, when I click ''EDIT'' to a term from the list, I edit it from admincp, not from the forum

In templates glossary_listterms , glossary_view and glossary_searchresult , find:
Quote:
<td class="vbmenu_option"><a href="glossary.php?$session[sessionurl]do=edit&term=$displayterm[glossaryid]" rel="nofollow">$vbphrase[glossary_editterm]</a></td>
replace /change to:
Quote:
<td class="vbmenu_option"><a href="admincp/admin_glossary.php?s=&$session[sessionurl]do=edit&glossaryid=$displayterm[glossaryid]" rel="nofollow">$vbphrase[glossary_editterm]</a></td>
[sorry for my bad english!]

In templates:
GLOSSARY
GLOSSARY_CAT
GLOSSARY_LIST &
GLOSSARY_RESULTS find:
Quote:
<select name="searchoptions">
<option value="1" $optionselect[1]>$vbphrase[glossary_search_titles_only]</option>
<option value="2" $optionselect[2]>$vbphrase[glossary_search_text_only]</option>
<option value="3" $optionselect[3]>$vbphrase[glossary_search_text_and_titles]</option>
</select>
and replace with:
Quote:
<select name="searchoptions">
<option value="3" $optionselect[3]>$vbphrase[glossary_search_text_and_titles]</option>
<option value="2" $optionselect[2]>$vbphrase[glossary_search_text_only]</option>
<option value="1" $optionselect[1]>$vbphrase[glossary_search_titles_only]</option>
</select>
