That happened with my dialup internet last year (DSL/Cable wasn't available at the time unfortunately . . .) - I was told by my phone company that calling the next city over was local. What they didn't tell me was it was "extended" local which means I had to pay $0.03 per minute to call there. Add up a full month of 7-8 hours of dialup access everyday and I wasn't a happy camper :surprised:
