It's like if you go to the past and kill Hitler before he starts the WWII then who knows what would happen, the Earth vanishes ?

There are so many "What if?" scenarios that multiply infinitely the further back in time you go to alter it

i'm not saying i live in the past at all. i'm saying don't brush it off like nothing happened; there is a difference. you can't be stoic about the past. and you cant constantly focus on the past.

and @ corriewf
there are limitations in life. can you lift a 500lb rock? can you run 4min miles? can you swim underwater for 5mins without comming up for air? these are physical limitations and most likly you cant do them. so to try to say you are limitless is bad. we all have limits. you have to recongize those limitations and not try to go on with life like they dont exist.

Dunno about corriewf, but I can lift a 500lb rock... I could probably run 4 miles... I dunno about swimming underwater - I always seem to float to the surface after a very brief period under the water, i.e. less than a minute

Hehe - It is true though - If you change something that happened last week, the possibilities of a dramatic change are about 1 in a billion...

However, if you change something that happened last year, the possibilites multiply...

Then something that happened 10 years ago, even greater possibilities...

The point here, is that the further back in time you go to alter something, there are things that exist now because of the way the past played out - You could go back and kill Hitler, come back to the future and find out that the car company Volkswagen was never made, and therefore accidents of drivers of those cars and progress made by the company never happened, therefore more lives are affected, more technology is affected...

Thats just one element of what Hitler introduced to this world, and simply "killing Hitler" can change millions of tiny things that you may not even consider to be important at that point in time, that end up bringing everything in existence and everyone alive today to this point in time

It gives me a slight headache to think that if time travel into the past were possible, the damage one person could do by committing a stupid act such as "killing Hitler"...

I'm not saying Hitler was a good man, far from it, but unless you document every single iota of existence in the modern day as you left it, bring it with you, kill Hitler then travel back to the "present", you will never know for sure what exactly has changed...

For all we know, Hitler's actions may have prevented an even greater war that could have happened 10 or 15 years into the future of Hitler's reign, but that was prevented by Hitler's actions...

You just never know...

Satan

There are certain limitations that we became aware of around 5 or some other early age and thats not what im talking about.

I dont know about 500 pounds but I did pick up a tranny for a 18 wheeler before. Closest I have been was about 5 minute mile. What I am saying is that miracles happen everyday because there are people out there that make them happen. They didnt accept no for an answer.
