Whats the nicest vb design you have seen ?

500 to 1000 dollars for that style, I honestly think that is no where near worth it. I would probably only pay 50 dollars for it, there are other people out there that can create something 10 times better than that and charge 10 times less...I guess it's because Corey is so well established that his prices are high and people tend to accept them. I could probably create that style myself

N9ne, yeah thats what turn me off. It is ridiculous high cost for that merely images and few things. I agree with you.

I just want to know cuz I heard few things about Cory, it is interesting information and it help me to not involve anything.

However I m already make my own images and other things for few weeks now. Its free and I lost nothing but time.

I contact Jack Davis (Author of Photoshop 6 WOW! book) and asked him to estimate few works of Cory for costs and found much less than what it should cost. Oh well... at least I made a smart move. *shrug* What did Cory do with clients for designs is none of my business, fortunately that I have skills with Photoshop and able to create nice images for myself. Thats one thing I can do to avoid being stupid/blind and pay more than 500

But I like Xelation's smile design, it is one of best.

It's not $1000 for a simple forum customization... most of the sites in his portfolio would have been $500 AT THE MOST.

The $1000 forums are ones with complete template overhauls, like DodgeTalk, only more complex.

Ultrashock is nice, but you need Flash installed for it to work, and some browser don't support it. Plus I can see that site at work because Flash is not allowed for security reasons.

That's not true, I believe Corey does indeed charge quite a bit just for simple things.

EDIT: You say Dodgetalk: http://www.dodgetalk.com/forums but more complex, DodgeTalk is very simple, I'd say it's worth $30, $40 at the most... More complex can't mean 20x the price...

I paid $450 for my style when it was just being started. It did look quite unique to me at the time and I figured I might as well splash out. Corey is very reliable, well at least he was for me. Anf have you seen yaXay v2 yet? PS the $1000 thing is a full web presence. That means it comes with fully customised PHP scripting, mySQL backend and an admin panel to manage everything. Corey is currently doing the design for my main site, and my friend is doing all the php scripting. Oh and I've seen some very basic and ugly web-templates (which more than one person buys) going for $1000 +
