The only information you can find out, if I understand where you were going with this, is potentially what my address is, either via finding my ISP via my IP, or via WHOIS'ing my domain name(s)...

I'll save you the trouble - My ISP will not divulge my personal information, as it is against privacy laws here in the United Kingdom - Nor will they ever actually be able to, as I share this outgoing IP with all of their other clients...

My non-.co.uk domain names have all information aside from my contact name, Chris Murphy (which I already divulge out of free will), blotted out...

My .co.uk domain names are protected by a nice feature about owning a UK registered domain - I took part in whats called a "WHOIS Optout", therefore there is no way you can get my address or phone number from it...

Therefore unless you are a secret FBI agent who has access to my birth certificate or bank details I highly doubt you will get any further than finding out the information I already divulge...

An ip can be resolved, ports can be scanned and exploited for an array of creative devices.

You cannot scan my PC - My machine does not communicate directly with the internet, but via two seperate networks

Good luck trying though...

I have three hard firewalls and two soft firewalls and still am aware that any data entered on my computer should be considered public. The only way to avoid it is to disconnect that little wire in the back of your computer or wireless access point.

I am unsure as to the exact number of firewalls I have to pass through, but I know it is at least 3

There is no physical way my machine can ever be accessed - I have disabled remote connections so therefore somehow getting into the private network of my ISP and finding our server machine will not help you, as it cannot connect to my machine through any ports other than those open for IMs, the Net, FTP and other necessary info - It cannot directly connect to my machine, and my machine is never left on when not in use

Who cares about server.... You are using a proxy which is generated by your ISP. This can be resolved to your IP and your mac addy. Then with a port scanner an open port can be used or a file could be uploaded to a server of a website you use which is loaded into your temp folder. Keyloggers are a very very evil thing.

The bottom line is that no matter what any of us do, if we are on the internet then we can and will get hacked. Everything else is just a false security.

It won't be resolved to my IP, merely the IP of our own home network's server...
