my-vB Portal Lite

hi guys,

a few days ago the "my-vB Portal Lite" was released.

The portal has the following features:

- Infinitely many portal pages possible
- Infinitely many portal boxes possible
- Four portal page types
- Last topic Box
- News Box
- Poll Box
- Calendar Box
- User Online Box

Its actually a german portal, but i have tried to translate it.

Not really all english tho.
Most of the variable names are german

'portal_schrift', 'Font Size'

in the installation, you can chose, witch language you will use.

I know, but all the varibles are germna, so it makes it hard to change after.
Also, even tho I selected english, all the navigation is german.

Also, I can't use the portal as my root index. It only works if it is on the forums directory. Otherwise I get a blank page.

yes, but you only need to chang de index.php of vb to board.php or somerhing, and change in de admincp the name of the index page of de vb to board.php, than you can change the portal.php to index.php is very simple.

I tryed to install your portal (I tryed Vbadanced too) but I'm not able (in both) to read the old news, I can see only the one who posted but not the post.
If I post a new one news then I can see the post in the front page but not the image attached.
Can you help me or just have a look ?

Granted, I'm new to this really, but I am attempting to learn the ins and outs of all this stuff. While trying to install this portal I get the following error in my browser:

Warning: main(./global.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /public_html/portal_install.php on line 2

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required './global.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /public_html/portal_install.php on line 2

Can anyone shed some light on what is supposed to happen or how to correct this issue? Thanks in advance.

I want the portal to be www.mywebsite.com/portal.php

If I do that, I get a blank page.
