hehe,
I'll agree that alot of the hiphop sites turn into racist debates - this and that, some songs are plain stupid and i'm a big hiphop fan but not all hiphop is like that...producers like the neptunes/N.E.R.D are easily forgotten about when people slander hiphop/rap. The thing that rap seems to do more than anything is glorify voilence/guns & drugs. The people who represent hiphop in a positive way, stand out from all the rest of the posers - jedi mind tricks, canibus and some of the old school rappers. |

And not all people who listen to heavey music will "go and shot up schools" or commite suicide, Tony Blair listens to rock music and he isn't suicidal or dangerous (He is a bit of a retard though) |

I agree with you artists like the Neptunes are forgotten in debates but that's mostly to do with it's the same sound and so few artists drop over a neptune beat even tho everyones got one, but then you got producers of the art like Dj Premier, Dj Hi-Tek, Kanye West and it's a whole other thing, the production is of a superior level, it effects me listening to all other music types due to this as i just can't take shoddy productions and sound engineering. My tastes for hip-hop really do vary and as much as i come down on Pac, he's a good artist i got a bit of his stuff but saying that, he's released more ++++ onto the market than LL, he tends to ooze week production Seriously theirs too many artists to say that rappers just rap about drugs and guns, and i promise you that 85% of the ones you hear rapping about that stuff, didn't own a gun till after they got signed and it's more to do with upholding the image of the fake life they created for themself than selling drugs and stuff. and as for them older rappers it's as Saigon said "you aint out on the block no more" so even them who lived it, are just faking to sell records, it's quite sad, especially when you listen to the real stuff and know ppl who live that life. all in all tho don't judge hip-hop from the radio or magazine, most of the decent artists aint been on any wax bar a mixtape and the ones that are releasing albums don't sell From the current mainstream crop i can only take; Juelz Santana, Tony Yayo, Ludacris and Ghostface (who wouldn't have made it mainstream if he didn't blow with Wu) anything else, stay away from joke, but try them and the rest of the artists i mentioned and then tell me what you think and diss Hip-Hop Disclaimer: at times i waffled and forgot what i was on about, but still i finished with a point |

Hmm i agree with you on most but, Ludacris? Come onnnnnnnnn hes got no talent at all. Its people like Ludap**s and Jarule etc that ruin rap music by going all luvy duvy and making all these love songs. Ok fair enough some are good but they give the wrong image. If you listen to a jarule song you enjoy it sometimes, but its too luvy duvy, Pac however could make a luv song such as Unconditional Love and he still kept the Rap image in there if you get me. He kept the thug part of him going in the song. Pac will go down as a ledgend only because he spoke his mind and people related just like Marshall Mathers aka Eminem. But most rap fans wud have to admit they didnt own a majority of pac songs until he passed away, thats when he really became a icon. Ghost face killa is koo 2, like that song he did with mary j blidge (all that i got is you) thats got a good rhythm going.

the thing with 2pac is he was poop till just before he died, he only started saying stuff that i personally found relevant in the way he put it across and on teh beats he put it across on 7 day theory, since then i picked up a fair bit of the older stuff and a few remixes, but meh, he was poop.
Luda i used to hate him to much but then realised he's what hip-hop was originally about, having fun, he raps about smoking weed and having sex, i can relate to that  the song that got me to like him was Freaky Things, and i don't like all his stuff but enough to say he's decent. As for Ghost that song was nice but he's done so much more, he varies so much and does alot of back to the roots of hip-hop tunes i mean i can't listen to Eminem no more, DMX, 50 Cent, most artists for that matter lol. As for love songs it's all good, it's just that he's a fool JaRule, he talks to much poop and wants to be every other rapper, just can't take him. Not everyone can be Ganstaz but you gotta respect that and let them take you to other aspects of the art. |

2pac is more then just a rapper, he had an incredible intelligence, he was a poet, he was a moviestar and touched millions souls with it.
Its just not only his music and acting that makes 2pac an idol for many, its who he was. I mean, they are giving 2pac lessons on university to learn about his intelligence. Philosophers are study 2pac's intelligence. They said that they want to realize us that 2pac was in conversation with some of the greatest literature of our time. Just because hes a hip-hop artist, shouldnt be belittled. |

i don't belittle his presence just reintroduce reality to his musical accomplishments and i wouldn't say he was an incredible intelligence, he just had a voice where the rest of the ppl who feel the same and have the same ideas don't.
