well you either have to upgrade each file manually (the changed ones of course) and then run the upgrade... but with vb3 coming out in the near future it's been stated that 99% of the current hacks will be to no use to vb3

No they won't.

When you upgrade, you will upgrade to a stock unhacked vB3.0 - vB3 is coded differently to vB2 so most current hacks will have to modified for them to work with vB3.
