OK, upgraded to 3.8.9 and the GREMLIN has been discarded. I'm sorry to be a pain! Now to edit and update my phrases.

Upgrading should not make changes to already customised phrases.

They were very minor and strangely had to do with vBAdvanced Dynamics. We are up and running with 1,177,011 posts on 77 boards with no problem at all. Now in our 21st year on the web and 12 years on vBulletin!
