thats the point of it being a private message

as far as swear words, i dont care, they can swear all they want, as long as they dont do it on the board.

Some of us do need to monitor what is said in PMs - legislation differs in each country, but whatever our personal views on the matter are, sometimes there are legal or business reasons to know what is being said if necessary.

My main concern is that of one already expressed - password and login information. Additionally, I do not want competitors becoming members and plugging their sites via PMs which they have done in the past.

Just the ability to monitor if we would like to - no admin has to monitor, but let's have the ability to do so if we need to.
