Glen beck and Rush Limbaugh are the 2 biggest racists in the US I would bet and they both have a large national audience. It embarrasses me to live in this country with people like that on the air..

As for Sarah Paline, OMG--she could have been a heartbeat away from the US presidency. I can think of nothing scarier than that. I am so sick of having to hear her stupid tweets every day.. She is afraid to debate anyone or answer any questions but the infatuation with this stupid woman has made her rich..

Some people say she is so attractive but to me she looks like a clown because of all the make up.. her cheeks are always full of red blush and it is just caked on.. I cannot stand to look at her..

I thought I was safe from having to hear about her on this forum but at least I can give my opinion here...

See-- 2 words just set me off-- Sarah Paline... Grrrrr!!! Thanks for allowing me to vent..
Why are you forced to "hear" her tweets everyday? You must be doing something to see or "hear" them because somehow I am able to live my life and I don't think I've ever seen or heard of more than 1 or 2 tweets that made national news. You say you dislike her but you go out of your way to read her tweets and you probably watched her TV show just so you could tell people how much you hate it. I think you need to look at yourself, not belittle someone who has accomplished more in her life than you could ever hope.

As for Glenn Beck truth be told I don't think I've ever seen his show so I don't know what he is about nor will I try to defend him... However calling Rush Limbaugh a racist is defamatory and a lie and anyone who has ever heard or seen his shows would laugh at how ridiculous such a comment is if it was also not truly so sad people spread these lies. Rush Limbaugh is not a racist... he may be conservative in values (if not always in practice) but conservative != (does not equal for the non-coders) racist. From your obvious ignorance and/or bias of the facts I can only conclude your conclusion on Glenn Beck is probably wrong too. Also I highly doubt Fox is in the business of giving people free time on their highly rated station and not making any money off of it.

You are most likely one of those infected by his propaganda most of which is untrue.... no offense... Rush is a racist and Glen Beck is liar and makes up facts all the time, so does Limbaugh.. If you get all your news from Fox, you are not getting the news..

Here is just one quick comment Rush made out of hundreds.. I used to have to listen to him because of one of the sites I was working on but it was these types of comments and his constant insults and arrogance that made me stop.. He is all a hypocrite with the things he used to say about drug addicts considering he is one..

1. “Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?”

This comment is the first one I found because I don't have time to argue. I am entitled to insult rush just as he does to the president and democrats on a daily basis.. At least I am telling the truth.. I can't believe you are saying this.. I am being defamatory and you listen to him? Really??

Back to the comment, as I said, this one is really mild compared to most..seems pretty much a racist to me and I listened to him for years going back to the mid 90s.. back to bashing Clinton over and over and over.. it doesn't matter who it is though as long as they are either a democrat or a non white..

I didn't write to argue and I know there is no winning arguments with people that value what people like Limbaugh and Beck say..I am done with this thread.. I have an opinion and I decided to express it. I stand by it as well..

I had to add more--

[To an African American female caller]: “Take that bone out of your nose and call me back.”

. “The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies.”

I don't see this as racist... I agree though this thread should be ended on this forum as we a treading on dangerous grounds already.

If anyone wants to continue the discussion I invite you to my forum where these sort of things go on every day- or if you have a suitable forum I'll go there.

America does not like war... yeah you have some crazy sicko's out there who just like to kill and find their outlet in the Military- but from both personal experience and internal military news sources the VAST majority of US Soldiers would like nothing better than to maintain the peace rather than wage war. War is HELL and no one knows that better than a soldier. Most military men (and women) have families and want to get back to them alive and with all the arms and legs they had before they left.

So yes, we all WANT peace... the problem is that there are forces in this world who genuinely don't want peace. I can't even blame some terrorists for hating America and the Western world... Truth be told they got the raw end of the stick over the last 200 years. Now some blame lies with themselves for being either too entrenched into ancient religious beliefs and/or allowing themselves to be governed by brutal warlords and tyrants rather than modern democracies that evolved elsewhere in the world... but regardless of how or why we got to where we are it doesn't change the facts right now. The facts are there are people willing to kill themselves to kill us... there are people willing to strap bombs to their kids to kill us.

It can be strongly argued through the Bill Clinton Presidency America "stepped back" from around the world- our Military was cut and although we were being attacked by "terrorists" and Saddam Hussein we never really fought back other than fire a well placed missile at a public target. And for a long time this course of action looked like it could work- we were saving a lot of money and we were willing to accept occasional loses to military targets and embassies in far off lands. But on 9/11 when things hit home we learned in just a couple hours that we could not continue to ignore the world.

History teaches us what happens when the world refuses to be aggressive with aggressors. Without American intervention it was a real risk Saddam Hussein would have conquered Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the rest of the Arabian Peninsular, and then Iran and who knows what after that. No doubt through all this there would have been genocide of those throughout his empire he didn't like, like he had already done in Iraq itself.

The Taliban was another "government" that was certifiably crazy with delusions of world domination. Just a few months before 9/11 the Taliban raised my personal red flags when I read a new article about how they used tanks to destroy thousand+ year old carvings of Buddah or something like that made into the cliff-sides of the canyon walls. This would be the equivalent of Egypt destroying the Pyramids because they aren't Islamic in origin. I realized then that this was a festering wound allowed to grow too big we'd soon need to deal with, though I never expected how soon but it was obvious to anyone paying attention they'd be problem for the world as a whole.

So please don't confuse America's willingness to fight the enemy as America's desire for war. It may seem like one and the same to outsiders, it is probably even reported in such a way by international media to promote such thinking, but it is certainly not true.
I disagree. America loves war. We derive great enjoyment and entertainment out of things of war even when we are at peace. Look at the video games and sports we play. They are all about one team versus another. or kill everybody on screen. That right there should tell you there will never be peace. Someone is going to want to live out their fantasy.

There may never be peace but that is not because of America- it's not like the rest of the world is at peace minding their own business with only America to blame for their troubles... and sports and games aren't unique to the United States either, they are played all over the world as well.

Most violent FPS war games involve America vs. some other country. Imagine if videogame developers from other countries started creating games where they invaded and terrorized America. I can see that happening soon. It's like a trend. I think America does have a little something to do with everything because we've made ourselves the world's peacekeepers. If the world's peacekeepers enjoys popular entertainment media violence like UFC and Modern Warfare then what's to say other countries won't follow suit and try to up the ante? It's like follow the leader.

I would totally buy a game called Call of Duty: American Invasion - I think it would be a big hit. Maybe Call of Duty: Red Dawn...

But seriously- "The best defense is a good offense" isn't just a catchy saying, it's the truth.
