Show Thread Enhancements - Guests See First Post Only (updated that it doesn''t affect spiders)

I made this mod after being requested at my forum by a user and thorught to share it here as well in case other users will find a use for it as well

ANyway this hack will allow you to show the first post to guests and hide the rest. You can enable and disable from the Acp where you can add the message that you want to be displayed to guests instead of the post. You can also choose forums to be excluded from the hide post limit.

The mod is not supported.

A new version that shouldn''t afefct spiders can be downloaded at my forum. Support for the mod is also provided there.

so its reduce query? like a thread hs 10 post need 15 query to database. so when its show to guest thread show only one post it reduce totall query?

How about if I install it at your forum and configure it for you as well while I am at it, so you won''t have to do anything at all?

No need to be a smartass. Not everyone wants to register at multiple forums just to be able to download some mods. That is the whole reason for vbulletin.org.

It is one thing to use your own forum as a means of support, but another to state that we must go there just to download a mod.

I never asked you to install or configure...just to put it here so members who like it can install it, but do what you want. I don't care..I don't have to use it.

But like you that don''t want to register somewhere to get something, I don't want to reupload the second mod here as well. And I ain''t forcing you or anyone else for that matter to register at my forum to download anything btw.

I also wouldn''t care less if you downloaded, installed or used it. If you think that I am breaking the rules by not uploading here the second mod then report this thread. But stop being so selfish pal, will you?

If being selfish, is simply asking for you to upload the newly updated part of this mod here so that members who enjoy it can download it, and update the mod, then I am guilty as charged.

You are free to do what you want, but not wanting to upload the mod here which I am sure takes less than a minute to do, and require people to register to your site in order to download, then that is being selfish.

However, I am done with it. You obviously could care less about doing something nice and simple, so have a nice day.

If a mod wants to delete this, feel free too.
