Look I have no desire to get in a flame war over this but hell here it goes;
I have never understood why you people end up giving your hard earned money away to people that steal it (I'm not saying Tim is a thief because I have no proof..but read on). I also fail to understand why the lot of you don't band together and seek legal action when it happens to multiple people. I don't know about the rest of you but when another man steals from me I make it right one way or the other. Sometimes the law handles it, sometimes I handle it myself, but one way or the other I see my money or something of equal value...and I've never had a problem figuring out how to go about doing that. You all want Jelsoft to be a middle man in your business and you claim "they don't care about us!" and "they'll get sued over this!" every time someone gets ripped off. Don't you understand that the second Jelsoft becomes the middle man they also become libel if money gets stolen? Further more many of you just love to point fingers at whomever is on staff. Every time they make a move a mob comes a long and tells them how wrong that move was. I understand customer feedback but c'mon? Do you honestly think you could do any better? Do you honestly think a bunch of guys and girls that put in hours of their day..everyday for nothing in return are really such an evil bunch? You know I could probably be in contact with Tim on the phone within a half hour if I really needed to talk to him. I've known the boy forever (before there was such a thing as vBulletin as a matter of fact) and I'll admit I was not his biggest fan back then and I'm not his biggest fan right now. But if he'd wrong me like certain people claim he's wronged them...well getting my money back wouldn't be much of an issue! In this life you have to take care of yourself. No one wants to be your baby sitter. |

That's what i said Brad... you're fully in the same path of opinion that i have...
if people are not happy with non-commercial services support here, they just have to start their own service and protect their own clients... that's what i've done... 2 months ago i re-opened my commercial website, and my clients need to pay their membership to access any service on the site; downloads, support tickets, etc... if you are not able to pay a minimal fee, you are not to require protection when something goes wrong. all my transactions are paid at the end of the process because i secured my clients - i know they are refered paying clients... the other side, their own protection... my reputation on the net AND on paypal... i even refund people when i'm not myself satisfied with the client... i hate people complaining all the time. i may be the best devil's advocate here... i was from the start of the project and was on many more projects before, and like on the startup of PostNuke, when i decided to have enough of the troubles, i can decide here too that i'm not taking advantage of the service anymore and do my things on my side. i'm not happy with the lack of commercial endeavour of vB sites... they have their way of doing things, and i don't complain on it anymore... i prefered to go on my own. and i'm now very happy! do the same guys... cool, a stick... pogo on it please... i'm really hungry !!! |

Lets get some cold hard proof. Install "Read PMs", located directly above, search for his name and find the people he's scammed.

Life sure would be better for those who are there to help us, if they simply didn't. It's not like we're asking for vbulletin.org to provide escrow services, or something ridiculous like that. We're asking for a feedback system we've already been told was being considered at one point - read here. So, a simple 'yes we've decided to go forward with that and will announce more as we get closer', would go a long ways. |

I can understand why Jelsoft doesnt want to be the middle man, because if the deal goes wrong on either end it all downfalls to you "the middle man". I have personly had a few cases like this happen to me and it sucks. Cause it not your fualt but some how its still your problem. Thats why from now on whenever I do some buisness I do it directly with the client no matter what it is.

I guess this is what will happen.
Tim will get to scam more people on this site, seeing he isn't from my nation I will have little to no recourse against him and thus am out my money. Why doesn't vbulletin just install a Feedback hack, at least you will have some idea of who in this community is trustworthy and who isn't. |
