I just want to get this straight: crippleware is now allowed to be released on vb.org?
I feel that v3Arcade is crippleware because if I do not register on his site with a valid e-mail address, and give up info and access to my site to guests (even if it is temporary) so I can get a license from John then I can't get full access to all of the features or games. All of this leads us to the $60 branding-free option that is prominently offered on his site, or the "premium" games. When was this decision made to allow crippleware at vb.org? What's next?? nagware, demoware, adware? Isn't there a double standard being applied here? If not, then Brian, Cinq, The Geek (and others) should be allowed to distribute their products through here as well. Also- I feel that by turning on some of the "automatic game update" features in that hack may open future potential trojan/backdoor situtations, and that vb.org may want to think twice before supporting such "innovations." |
