I'm certain that as soon as you can place this in beta that you will find a lot of people helping with the finishing touches.

Probably a lot of people don't even realize yet that you are working on this because they never read this forum. Looking forward to your continuing progress.

Don't know if these features were suggested yet...
  • Some sort of customizable user info on the side a-la livejournal, e.g mini calendar(!) with latest post dates, avatar, web site, ect.
  • Ability to add friends, view other people's friends, have a special part in your journal with your friend's latest posts.
  • Total stats: number of journals, posts, comments.
  • Journal list with username, number of entries, number of comments, last post time, last comment by, and it's time, total views of the journal.
  • Ability to search journals, filter them, search entries and comments.
  • Journal rating
  • Ability to edit styles of the journal

I think a way for someone to make their journal whatever style they want to...like customize it would like really kick-@$$ of LJ or anything like that.

Also a way for only friends like that are on your buddy list can view a private entry.

I am very excited about this!

I got one better .... Port http://cafelog.com/ B2 blog to each user in the forums.

Personal catagory with user name the member can only post in their own but can choose if other members may reply or not on a submission post.

Make B2 use VBCODE, smiles, VB user base ... Basically rip out the user fields and recode a few files to VB standards. ?

Why reinvent the wheel.. less code to figure out ... ect .. It offers rss feed and all that good stuff.

Could also leave blog intack and make a addon that when you reg @ the forums some of the same info is added to the blog tables.

There would also have to be some code to update user info. I would have the forums update the blog tables.

There will need to be a "login" made to login/out @ the same time.

just ideas.

just ideas.
most of them type of sites run on the livejournal code, i'm sure that could be ported over to php (if it hasn't been already) then made to work for vB
