Webpage and Guestbook for vBulletin 3.0.x

This script installs a Webpage and a Guestbook on your users profile page.

okay i messed up, i couldn't upgrade the query. and couldn't just insert the new one. so i figured i'd just delete the old sql structure and then replace it. which i did. bad idea, just lost all my guestbook entries and webpages. now, i inserted the new one, but got an error about setting_allowguestbook_desc duplicate. now, the guestbooks and webpages do work. but they don't show any 'phrases', meaning if people go in to edit the guestbook they just see radio buttons. how can i fix this?

Quick question.. is there any way that i can add a music background in the profile through this hack? I have this hack but when i add backgroud sound in the html, it does not play.. just a question..

Great hack, thanks a lot. A few comments/bugs -

In the installation_READ_THIS_ONLY.txt file (I haven't looked at the upgrade one so not sure if this is true there as well)....

-In the 2nd important part you say to Click "Update". This should read Click "Save"

-Also in the 2nd important part you say apply new General Permissions settings for all the usergroup you have!. This isn't necessary, you only need to update the permissions for any groups that have primary users in them. Which for most people will probably only be Registered Users, Users Awaiting Email Confirmation & Administrators.

-Clicking the [more] link in the smilies box doesn't work. It just refeshes the edit webpage you're on. I have some 330 smilies on my forum (at ATITD.net btw) so it'd be good if my users could use them on their MiniSites.

Just remove all the phrases from database and reinstall just the phrases. After this you have to search for one of your phrase and save the phrase again. After that your problem should be solved.

how do i remove ALL the phrases? you mean one by one?

i don't even know how to do that, i can just find an edit option in my phrases in the ac.

sorry guys for leaving you. But I am here to tell you that I will leave once again (going to spain for pre-season track riding) and won't be back in game until around christmas or maybe new years.

Talk about instilling fear in the hearts of us hacker wanna be's.

But, I installed the thing. It took me quite a bit of time, compared to all the other hacks I've loaded onto my boards, upwards of thirty to sixty minutes, depending upon how cautious you want to be. And while you're installing it, you just sit back and wonder at the complexity of the thing. Swedie is to be congratulated. Truly.

And quite to my surprise, it does work. Rather nicely in fact. I haven't tested all the features yet, but so far, I am truly very impressed. And glad I spent the time installing this.

I don't have a use for the webpage mod, so I don't have that up, just the guestbook.
Works/looks good, IMO. The guestbook HTML could use a little cleaning up/vb3 look, but it looks fine the way it is.


Swedie, I found a bug.. I'm not sure if anyone has reported it. If I edit a guestbook message, it doesn't update.. still stays the same. Just thought I'd report that.

Gone through all 29 pages and ended up here. A lot of you could do with doing the same as a lot of questions are already covered.

First off.. Installed fresh on 3.0.3 no problems.
Managed to change style to match users choice.

As in this post, I cannot delete a post in the guestbook and editing does nothing. No errors rapported.

Anyone can help a Danish Lady in need?

If anyone knows how to have it automatically recognize when a user's webpage has content, I'm sure more than a few people would appreciate it.

That would be a very handy feature. In the meantime I've had to make do with a modified version of what frage posted...... I added the profile field as frage states then replaced

with

I did find another small bug, I don't know if its already been mentioned and corrected. In the email notification of a new guestbook entry, the link points to [link removed] instead of my forum. The problem was in member.php
