This is an add-on that is designed for vBulletin 4.1.1 or later. It may not work on earlier versions of vBulletin.

* INSTALLATION *
-------------------
1) Upload the contents of the 'upload' folder to your forum's root.
(If your forum's location is http://www.example.com/forums/, the root is /forums/)

2) Depending on your server configuration, you will need to change the permissions of the advappfiles folder to either 775 or 777

3) Import the product XML file (product-advapp.xml) into the Product Manager in AdminCP.

4) Take some time to set the options, application types and application postions in the new Application Forms area of AdminCP.
(It's really not that hard!)

5) Make sure this modification is marked as 'Installed' on vBulletin.org!
(If you want to get notices from me about updates for this modification.)

* UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS *
-----------------------------
1) Upload the contents of the 'upload' folder to your forum's root.
(If your forum's location is http://www.example.com/forums/, the root is /forums/)

2) Import the product XML file (product-advapp.xml) into the Product Manager in AdminCP and be sure "Allow Overwrite" is set to 'Yes'.

3) vB 4.2.x ONLY - Go to ACP->Settings->Options->Application Form Settings and set 'vB 4.2 Community Menu Update' to 'Yes'.

UPGRADING TO VERSION 1.3.8 or HiGHER
Depending on your server configuration, you will need to change the permissions of the advappfiles folder to either 775 or 777

If you have edited the advapp_application template, you need to revert the template before upgrading to 1.3.8 or higher.
Once the upgrade is complete, you can re-apply your changes to that template.

That's not line 567.

It 'looks' like a checkbox question is missing an answer or there aren't any expected answers for the checkbox question.

Can you post the checkbox questions that are being asked? Or, send them to me via PM.

EDIT: Also note that I need to log off for the night, so I can't answer until tomorrow.

In the nav bar i put the application option when i click on this nav bar application option there is nothing that appears. as to setting my self to>> given yourself permission to view the application type and application position. That is in this part of the section >> Application Type Add/Edit Permissions if i am correct i put a 6 which is the admin user-group. if i have set this correct what else could be the problem?

Application Forms > Application Types > Edit your application type > Allowed Usergroups > Select the usergroups will be allowed to see this application group. > Save.

Please use normal font (as you'd turned off the CAPLOCKS).

P,S I made the font diffrent so anyone trying to awnser would be able to see the main question. Just like you made the file directions a dif font!!

Is there anyway of creating a block that can appear at the top of a selected forum. That way a type could be shown and the applications could show in the threads below? see mock up below..

If the nav tab is showing, but it only shows a very small dropdown like this...


Go to ACP->Application Forms->Application Types and edit the application type. Make sure 'This Application Type is Active' is set to 'Yes'. And, that your usergroup is set in Allowed Usergroups.

There's no way of doing it at this point in time. But I do like the idea.

Again, it will go on the wish list.

I know you were joking, but if you read through the entire thread you'll find that just about everything people have asked for has been added whether in a paid add-on or if it got blended into the main product. It's more the availability of time to work on major additions that drive when and if something gets added.

I think this is a great bit of software that could do so many great things for helping comunication with the members.. If there was the option to post the application to face book that would be great as well

I'm using it for application for poeple to apply to help out on the site but the thing I think it's going to be best at will be for getting people to sign up for events.... This way we can easily show who will be attending.

Once again great product... If there were paid addons I'm sure i'm not the only one who would be interested if this would help you speed things up

You are on the wrong screen.

Go to ACP->Application Forms->Application Types



Once there edit the application type and set 'This Application Type is Active' to 'Yes'.



And be sure you have permissions to view the application type.
