What does it do? ==============================
Add an Expires header
Adding an Expires header to your components with a date in the future makes them cacheable, reducing the load time of your pages. Certainly this should be done with images, but that's fairly typical. Go a step further and add it to scripts and stylesheets, too. This won't affect performance the first time users hit your page, but on subsequent page views it could reduce response times by 50% or more.
Gzip componentes
Gzipping all the js and css files types to reduce page weight. The greatest advantage is compressed to reduce the amount of data transmission network, thereby improving the client browser access speed. Configure ETags
1. Client requests a page (A).

The moment I upload the .htacess file into my forum root, my site gets all funky. The drop-down menus in vbulletin no longer work and my shoutbox stops working.
So "Add No-Cache HTTP Headers" should be set to NO ?
I'm pretty confused about this. In vbulletin settings it states:

vbulletin recommends this but if you are saying i will have better performance i guess i will disable it and give it a go.
Also, this is weird.. i am running vbseo fine yet see no .htaccess in my forum root, i thought vbseo has an .htaccess in the forum root? I made a fake .htaccess2 file and can see it. Will check vbseo site
